Metelmex International, Inc. seeks a full-time, year-round Sales Engineer for work in Houston, Texas. Job duties include: Develop, present, or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions. Analyze grating products, erection drawings, specifications, and bid documents to gain a deep understanding of project requirements. Utilize NAAMM estimating standards to create precise material takeoffs based on plans, specifications, or customer drawings. Identify and address discrepancies between drawings and specifications to ensure accurate and efficient proposal preparation. Work closely with Project Management, Engineering, and Sales teams to develop optimal product solutions that meet customer needs. Provide technical and non-technical support and services to clients or other staff members regarding the use, operation, and maintenance of equipment. Candidate must be proficient in the use of Computer Aided Design (CAD) for 2D and 3D drawings. Experienced in Structural Steel Drawings. Must have experience in sales. Must be fluent in Spanish to communicate with engineering, scheduling, and production teams based in Mexico to coordinate U.S. project timelines. Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering Field is required, foreign equivalent is acceptable. 12 months of previous experience as a manufacturing project manager is required.
