The Hot Dip Galvanized is a process whose objective is to provide protection against corrosion by adhering layers of Zinc to steel structures. This process is the maximum anti-corrosion protection for any product made of steel, and it is a coating used in industrial, civil, commercial and urban works.

At METELMEX we have a Galvanizing Plant specially designed to meet the needs of all our customers. We ensure efficient and careful handling of materials, optimizing the quality and physical condition of the parts.

To guarantee a long life for the products that we galvanize at METELMEX, we keep abreast of national and international standards (ASTM and NMX), their updates, and certifications led by the associations to which we belong, such as AMEGAC and LAPEM.

Our plant has an installed capacity to produce 24,000 tons per year.

We have a bucket with dimensions of 1.5m (width) x 3m (depth) x 12.6m (length) and it can instantly galvanize pieces of up to 5 tons.

We are members of the Mexican Association of Galvanizers, A.C. (AMEGAC).

GALVANIZING PROCESS

It consists of immersing the elements in a bath of molten metal made up mainly of zinc. Due to the fact that the pieces are totally submerged in the liquid metal, it is guaranteed that the surface is completely covered and protected from the corrosive effects of the environment.

Our Galvanizing service is applied to different industry and construction products. Some examples are: Industrial Grid, Pipes, Angles, Squares, Beams, Hydropneumatic Tanks, Frustoconical Posts, Castles, Railings, among many others.

This process is cheap and attractive for the construction industry, since it is an alternative for the use of durable, resistant and economical structures.
